About making money online ..

This is a very heavily used 'search keyword' for any search engine. I know many people dream about the idea of making money online fast and quick. But it's just not simple as that folks. Trust me, I've been there.

To really make money online, you need to have a few skills on your hands. Like the knowledge of php, mysql databases, web designing etc. Then you need to think of an out of the box idea that is really going to pull people's socks over when they see it. Like Twitter.com, Facebook.com etc. Those things are where the real money is at.

But yes, I know if you really knew all that you probably wouldn't be searching for ways to make money. Well, there are small sites like MicroWorkers.Com that can get yourself wet to start with.

All it requires is to finish some simple tasks like, make a post, write an article, review something for a promised payment if you get the job done. Which is pretty neat.

It's not a lot of money, but at least you can be happy about earning something online out of no where to show off your friends and mates.

Your Comments could be saved on more than one location

Ever wondered about your posts on various forums or blogs being recorded and being displayed on other blogs or websites for relational and sequential purposes?

Well, I found this website, which is cool in a way that compares comments made by various users on different websites and then merges comments by calculating which comments were from the same author on any number of websites it finds, then shows them all in one page.

http://www.backtype.com. Simply search for RoadsOut.Com on that site and you'll find a few of my comments on other blogs that I made also leaving behind the link to my site for the 'just in case' scenario.

It doesn't have all the comments I made, of course, because they'd simply require a lot of time and resources to track. But it's still a good start for that site.

It's just another relational kind of search engine that people certainly will find useful and should become very popular with time. Mind you, it has an Alexa rating in the 8000's so is quite popular already.

My New Year Resolution ..

My New Year Resolution is to avoid getting myself in bad type of situations. Wish me and my family and everyone a blissful new year and hope things are just A alright!

Have a good one!

Happy New Year!

Wikipedia almost completing their target of 7.5 Million

I'm pretty positive they're going to make it. They're at 7.3 Million. I'm not exactly sure about what date they started asking for donations. But it could only have been for the month of December.

They've really turned things around since numbers looked pretty grim for them in the start of the campaign. Credit has to go to their finance / administration department getting so many donations in a small period of time.

No doubt, Wikipedia is one of the most used and productive websites throughout the world. People were more than willing to donate for their cause.

I'm happy for Wikipedia, but I did not donate, because I simply thought they didn't really need asking for donations when they could simply have good Ad campaigns and sponsors to serve their purpose.

Thinking about getting sponsors, I wonder how much could they have injected into their infrastructure if they got real sponsors, given they could generate 7.3 Million within a month! - simply through donations!

Amazing! Isn't it?

Want to Loop your YouTube Videos?

Haven't you ever wondered why YouTube didn't have a 'Repeat' button so that you could play your favourite videos over and over again? I'm sure you have that's why you've come here.

Seems like Google just doesn't want YouTube to become another Music JukeBox. But guess what, you still can have continuous playback for YouTube videos, thanks to this cool website I found, http://www.youtubeloop.com.

This site does exactly what it's name says. It allows you to loop any YouTube video that you enter in it. All you have to do is add the YouTube Video URL to the text box and the site will do the rest.

They also let you download YouTube videos, which is cool, but lots of other ways to do that.

Enjoy Play back guys!

How to remove browser padding?

If you're having problems with removing padding between your body and div tags especially when you're trying to add an image in your first div tag after opening the body tag. Then you should use the following code in your body tag.

<body marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0">

I'm sure there are other ways to make this fix but I found this one helpful for killing spaces between body tag and the first div(s).

Hope this helps you too.

Getting the 'Taskbar has been disabled by Administrator' error?

I was getting this one too. It was due to a virus blocking my access to the task bar. I didn't disable it myself and I am the administrator of my own computer (obvious).

So I found this site that has a neat fix for it. First you have to make a clean sweep of any viruses using a good anti-virus software. Then you have to run the following command in the run function. The one in the start bar menu.

Mind you, I'm using Windows Xp Service Pack 2. Haven't tested it on any other system.

So the command is simple,

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

All you have to do is copy paste that code and run it in the run menu. That fixed it for me.
