What's the point of religion? Why do people believe in such concepts?

There are two answers: An atheist answer, a believers answer

Atheist answer:
Humans like to believe in different concepts because their brain is curious and wants to find out answers about something that is unknown.

Once they come up against questions that can't be answered by science or any other theory then they tend to come up to their own conclusions mostly based on what they believe in or whatever their imagination lets them decide in the end.

This is where religion comes in. A lot of people who don't have faith in their own imagination will want to follow somebody else who is convincing enough. Thus, following a religious messenger etc.

So the point of religion is to serve this basic need of human beings in believing or following something that they can't quite understand.

A believers answer:

Since there can be so many deviations and so many concepts regarding what could be the unknown, how the universe came into existence, Who made it all.

Also humans only ponder about these questions for a while till they engross themselves in worldy activities.

So there was a need to guide human beings. So that they come to realize the true identity of their maker. So that they can come close to Him in one way or another.

Thus God decided to send guidance upon his men by choosing some people out of themselves whom He blesses in order so that He can make them a blessing for others. Who would then use their knowledge and grace given by God to enlighten others.

Exam Grade Calculation

Q. 22 Suppose a professor counts the final exam as being equal to each of the other tests in her course, and she will also change the lowest test score to match the final exam score if the final exam score is higher. If a student’s four test scores are 83, 67, 52, and 90, what is the lowest score the student can earn on the final exam and still obtain at least an 80 average for the course?

Sum of Scores including last score = 83 + 67 + x + 90 + x = 2x + 240

Equation will be

(2x + 240 ) / 5 = 80

2x + 240 = 400

2x = 400 – 240

2x = 160

X = 80

Student can earn a lowest score of 80 and to keep the average at 80.

Grade Calculation

Q. 21. To earn an A in a course, a student must get at least a 90 average on four tests and a final exam, with the final exam weighted twice that of any one test. If the four test scores are 93, 69, 89, and 97, what is the lowest score the student can earn on the final exam and still get an A in the course?

(93 + 69 + 89 + 97 + 2x ) / 6 = 90

348 + 2x = 90 * 6

Therefore x = 96

Student needs a lowest grade of 96 to get at least 90 average in all subjects
